Sinopsis TOLONG AWEK AKU PONTIANAK

Percintaan dua dunia berbeza… Sebuah filem komedi seram yang mengisahkan Bob, berperwatakan lurus bendul dan baik hati yang bekerja di sebuah syarikat periklanan, di bawah penyeliaan Faizal. Selepas berpisah dengan teman wanitanya (Ina), Bob dan kawannya, Pian berpindah ke sebuah apartment lain. Kehidupan baru Bob bermula selepas berpindah dan bertemu dengan dua beradik iaitu Maya dan Liyana. Pada mulanya Liyana tidak menyenangi kehadiran Bob dan Pian kerana takut identiti mereka terbongkar.

Namun selepas menguji Bob, mereka mengakui bahawa Bob tidaklah seperti yang mereka sangkakan. Sejak itu, mereka berempat menjadi kawan baik. Hubungan Bob dan Maya pula bertambah rapat selepas insiden beg Maya diragut. Selepas bertemu Maya di rumah Bob, Faizal melamar Maya untuk bekerja di syarikatnya. Faizal cuba memikat Maya, namun hampa. Kemudian Faizal berpakat dengan Kamal untuk menakutkan Maya. Tetapi berlaku sebaliknya, Faizal dan Kamal pula yang ketakutan setelah dikacau oleh pontianak. Faizal mula curiga dengan kehadiran Maya dan menyuruh Kamal mencari bomoh untuk menyiasat kehadiran pontianak dipejabatnya.

Faizal menyatakan keraguannya tentang Maya kepada Pian dan mereka berpakat untuk membongkar identiti Maya dan Liyana. Di parti yang diadakan oleh Faizal, mereka melakukan pelbagai cara untuk membuktikan Maya dan Liyana adalah pontianak. Benarkah Maya dan Liyana pontianak? Dan apa pula hubungan Nadia dengan dua beradik itu? Semuanya akan terjawab dalam filem `Tolong! Awek Aku Pontianak!

Sam seorang gadis yang berpewatakan kasar seperti lelaki yang baru sahaja berpindah untuk menyambung pelajaran di sebuah kolej. Dia bertemu semula dengan kawan baik semasa sekolah iaitu Fariz di situ. Dalam masa yang sama, Sam mula ditakut-takutkan dengan fakta bahawa dengan sikap kasarnya itu, dia akan ditakuti oleh semua lelaki dan dia akan bersendirian sampai mati.

Ini Secara kebetulan, Sam terserempak dengan Nazril, lelaki idaman seluruh kolej. Dia tercabar dengan sikap Nazril yang hanya melayan perempuan cantik sahaja menyebabkan dia tekad untuk memikat Nazril. Pelbagai peristiwa yang melucukan dan romantis berlaku sepanjang usaha Sam untuk memikat Nazril termasuk cuba merubah penampilan dan sikap kasarnya. Dalam masa yang sama, hubungan Sam dengan bapa tirinya dan adik tirinya, Mimi juga semakin pulih dan erat. Akhirnya, Nazril jatuh cinta dengan kesungguhan Sam apabila Sam sanggup membantunya untuk menguruskan rumah anak yatim yang dibinanya.

Sam juga sanggup mengajar anak-anak yatim itu dengan caranya yang tersendiri. Namun, rupa-rupanya Fariz selama ini menyintai Sam dalam diam. Fariz meluahkan perasaannya pada Sam. Sam yang keliru dengan luahan Fariz itu cuba berfikir kembali tentang perasaan dirinya terhadap Fariz dan Nazril. Dan ketika Nazril pula meluahkan perasaan kepada Sam, Sam sedar dan yakin siapa sebenarnya yang harus dipilihnya.

Many fans of JRR Tolkien, and Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, have been eagerly waiting for the online release of the fan film, Born of Hope. The wait is over. The movie went online at DailyMotion.com yesterday at 7 pm GMT.

Born of Hope is the story of Aragorn's parents, Arathorn and Gilraen, during a turbulent time in the Dúnedain's history. It was produced by Actors At Work Productions, and directed by Kate Madison.

For those who are familiar with the background of Aragorn, aspects of the movie will come as no surprise. Arathorn and Gilraen get married and have a son named Aragorn, who eventually goes to Elrond's house in Rivendell to live. Tolkien fans know the history. But what makes the movie such a great story is not what we already knew; it is how we get there. The creators of Born of Hope are not only first-rate filmmakers, but also superb storytellers.

As fans began to see teasers and trailers for the film come online, it was obvious that this effort was going to look and feel professional. What they didn't know was the quality of this film would rank up with some of the best professional films.

Not only is the cinematography and the editing excellent, but the sound is better than you get with most movies you have to pay for. There is even a computer-generated character that could compete with anything Peter Jackson produced in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The music is spot on—never distracting—and the original song during the credits is moving and befitting Tolkien's Middle-earth.

The only technical glitch was that the movie ended abruptly before the credits and the song were finished. Hopefully this was a temporary problem that happened in the process of uploading, and will be fixed soon.

The story itself takes the viewer on some twists and turns. Fans may know where they are going, but they will often wonder what the path holds that will lead them there. You will be reminded of Éowyn in The Lord of the Rings, but the details will be different. This is appropriate since Tolkien himself is known for plot lines that intimate the past. For example, there are similarities in the stories of Aragorn and Arwen, and Beren and Lúthien.

The bloodline of the king must be preserved, and Born of Hope is part of the story of how it was preserved. Aragorn gives hope to his people that the kingdom will one day be re-established in Middle-earth. That is why the Elves call him Estel, Hope.

It only seems appropriate this movie would come out at this season when we remember another King who was protected in his infancy. Jesus Christ came to Earth some two thousand years ago, and the gifts of the wise men enabled him and his family to flee to Egypt where he was protected from those who wanted to kill him.

Selama ini, ARMAN percaya bahawa dirinya merupakan seorang pengidap autisme. Namun realiti sebenarnya bakal berubah dalam sekelip mata, ketika dirinya semakin menghampiri hari perkahwinannya. Untuk sebab yang tidak diketahuinya, Arman mendapat mimpi yang menyuruhnya agar tidak meneruskan perkahwinan dengan FARINA. Hubungan Arman dan Farina juga semakin bermasalah. Malah, dalam satu salah faham, Farina telah bergaduh dengan Arman dan meninggalkannya seorang diri di tepi jalan. Dalam perjalanan pulang itu, Arman hampir menjadi mangsa ragut samseng.

Mujurlah, AMY, seorang kanak-kanak kecil yang berada di situ, memekik dengan kuat, dan sekaligus memaksa menyelamatkan Arman. Sungguhpun Amy hanya berusia 5 tahun, Arman dapati kanak-kanak itu amat pintar dan berdikari sekali, malah lebih pintar dan berdikari berbanding dirinya sendiri.

Persahabatan terbentuk di antara mereka, dan Arman banyak berkongsi masalah dan pengalaman dengan Amy. Berdasarkan pengalaman hidupnya sendiri, Amy memberikan banyak idea dan nasihat kepada Arman. Apabila Arman menyatakan rasa ragu-ragunya untuk meneruskan perkahwinan, Amy mencadangkan kepada Arman agar bertanya beberapa siri soalan kepada Farina dan juga ahli keluarganya.

Secara beransur-ansur, Farina dan ibu Arman mula merasai perubahan Arman. Dalam masa yang sama, ibu Amy sendiri, iaitu SHIELA, turut merasai perubahan yang berlaku pada Amy. Amy nampak lebih ceria berbanding dahulu. Shiela merasakan dirinya terhutang budi pada HARIS, si duda baik hati, yang sanggup menjaga Amy ketika Shiela pergi bekerja sebagai kerani pada waktu siangnya. Sebagai balasannya, Shiela akan membantu Haris membasuh pinggan mangkuk di warungnya selepas waktu kerjanya itu. Selama ini, Haris sememangnya jatuh hati pada Shiela, tetapi Shiela cuba berdalih kerana dia sendiri sedang terkurung dalam sejarah hitam yang tidak diketahui sesiapa, termasuk Haris. Ibu bapa Haris di kampung sudah bertemu calon isteri yang sesuai untuk Haris. Apabila wanita itu bertindak datang berjumpa Haris di Kuala Lumpur, Shiela tahu bahawa sudah tiba masanya untuk dia membuat keputusan. Amy amat sukakan Haris dan mahu Shiela bersetuju sahaja dengan perkahwinan itu. Demi anaknya itu, Shiela akhirnya bersetuju menerima lamaran Haris. Segalanya sepatutnya menggembirakan, namun, dalam sekelip mata, hidup Shiela juga bagaikan berubah, apabila dia bertemu Amy bersama Arman.
